Travel Stairway Photo Wall

I thought it would be fun to blog about some different photo projects I have done. I really enjoy doing photo projects, and I've done a lot of them, so maybe in my next few posts, I can show you some of the projects that I've done and and do some DIYs on how I did them.

About a year ago, I blogged about how to do a stairway photo wall, but in that post, I had not put any pictures in the frames yet.  I ended up using pictures from some of the places my husband and I have travelled to, and I labelled the name of the place, and the year we visited the place at the bottom of each photo.  I did this using Pixelmator, but there are a lot of other programs you could use to do the same thing.  After I did that, I had the pictures printed out at Wall-Mart.

I think it ended up turning out really well!  It looks really nice, and it's fun to walk up and down the stairs, and look back at the places my husband and I have visited.  If you'd like to know how I did it, go check out my blogpost, "How to do a Stairway Photo Wall."

12 Months of Dates DIY Gift Idea

I found this idea on Pinterest, and made it for my husband as a Christmas gift.  It's called, "12 Months of Dates."  There is a cute poem and cards that you can print out with each month on them.  On the cards, you can fill in whatever date you think would be fun for that month.  Here are the dates that I used in case anyone is looking for ideas.

January - Dinner Downtown and Ice Cream for Dessert
February - Game Night
March - Stay at Home Date (Dinner and a Movie)
April - Coffee Shop
May - Fancy Restaurant
June - Double Date
July - Dinner with Molly, our dog (Restaurant that has outdoor seating and allows dogs)
August - Hike and a Picnic
September - Shopping and Dinner
October - Random Date
November - Concert
December - Dinner in a Different City

She has some more date ideas on her website.  You could also buy the gift cards or tickets ahead of time which would motivate you to actually go out on all of the dates.  Here's the link for anyone who is interested.
